This was my favorite food item of Halloween 2008 - a twist on the traditional meat & cheese tray. I love things that are "normal" food, easy, but served in a thematically interesting way so they have a totally different impact.
This 3' plastic skeleton was from walmart, I posed him on a bed of lettuce and then filled his "ribcage" with pepperoni and salami, and laid out cheese around him. For serving utensils I thought these retro fondue forks added a little bit of edge - don't they sort of look like spears? Crackers are in the cauldron behind him.
This was a lot of fun, and actually way faster than the 2007 cheese tray...photos of that to come eventually :)
