Curtsy while you're thinking...it saves time...

I'm on a roll! I thought I was done for the day after my frustrating shopping trip, but a few hours of downtime in front of the DVR and I was itching to go use all of my pretty trims!

How's it looking? I used fabric glue for the first time and I might be a bit punchy from the fumes (which I can hardly smell through my clogged nose, but the prevalence of warnings on the label convince me), but so far I think I like it! I added two kinds of gold trim on the collar, a pointy lace and a smaller braid of red and gold, and I also added a back frayed embellishment down the front of the coat. The fabric glue is AWESOME - I picked it up on a whim in the checkout line at Hancock fabrics, and it is so worth it - we'll see how it holds up, but so far it seems really quick and easy, and for a costume to be worn on 1 night, there's no reason to spend a lot more time and effort on sewing.

How awesome is that necklace? Borrowed from RJM Costumes (That's Ryan) Gotta love friends with huge stashes of costume jewelry! I wore it out for Chinese food last night too, I can't keep my hands off of it! :_
